Jjan! The Salt Festival! It’s all about sun-dried salt!
A special festival where you can enjoy Namdo’s sun-dried salt all in one place. Discover the history, production process, and diverse uses of sun-dried salt through exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and cultural programs—an opportunity to experience both its industrial and cultural value.
Explore five themed pavilions: the K-Salt Pavilion, Life Pavilion, Gourmet Pavilion, Adventure Pavilion, and Healing Pavilion. At the K-Salt Pavilion, learn about the value and production process of sun-dried salt, along with usage methods for each type of salt and the salt traceability system.The Life Pavilion showcases everyday uses of sun-dried salt and related products, while the Gourmet Pavilion offers easy culinary experiences using salt, such as salt popcorn and salt cookies.
In the Adventure Pavilion, enjoy hands-on programs such as salt harvesting, a salt science lab, and salt art. The Healing Pavilion provides sensory recovery programs using salt, focused on smell, warmth, and emotional stimulation.
A stamp tour linked to the Namdo International Culinary Expo is also available. Participants can even receive souvenirs—immerse yourself fully and experience the charm of sun-dried salt with all five senses.
